| Yep, it was that time of the year....Christmas? Nope, Community School of Excellence's International Culture Celebration! This is when friends, family, staff, and students come together to hang out and have fun. There is food and performances provided just for the night.
International Culture Celebration is one of the best events at CSE. It's entertaining! Tou Ger Bennett Xiong, CSE's Student Leadership Consultant, was in charge of the auditions for performances, while Pao Thao, CSE's Food Service Manager, was in charge of the food.
All the students were excited to see their friends perform. Many auditioned to get on stage.
"Taking a chance can get you far. And if you fail, just see it as one more failure to success," said Precious Oudomrak, CSE 8th grader, who auditioned and got to perform.
All the performers did their best in front of a huge crowd. It was so fun watching all of them! Most were dancers. There was Japanese dance, K-pop, and Hmong dance. Experiencing dances such as Japanese and K-pop is something new for our Hmong and Karenni communities.
We even had students Moua Chee Thao and Nuci Yang hosting for the evening.
When International Culture Celebration was almost finished, David Yang performed his songs. Everyone went hyper and crazy! Everyone sang with him and danced. At the end, everyone got a chance to take photos with him.
International Culture Celebration was an event everyone will not forget in their heart.
